Meditation & Chi Kung January 30
Silence,
contemplation and self discipline with the support of others in a
formal setting. Deep meditation is life changing but difficult to
achieve without proper guidance and perseverance. Calm your mind,
enliven the spirit and heal your body.Evidence has also shown that
meditation slows down the aging-related atrophy of certain areas of the
brain.
The
Chi Kung in this seminar is the set passed down to Sigung John from
Master Ho Shu Ying and has wonderful health benefits and martial arts strengthening.

Tai Chi Yang Style - 108 Form, February 27th
This
seminar is excellent for those who are at a beginner level or advanced.
Learn more about the principles and internal techniques. Refine and
perfect your form in a personal environment with lots of one on one
attention. Sigung John won a Gold Medal for his Tai Chi Yang Style at
the Taiji Championships held in Toronto in 2009.

sword has always held a special place in the soul of mankind. Tai
Chi sword extends the chi to the blade like no other style. When the
sword becomes a finger its life and delicate stroke penetrates even the
strongest shield. Learn the principles of footwork, wrist and
touch. Take the opportunity to practice applications with
partners.
In
the morning learn or perfect the beautiful Yang Style Saber form. The
saber is a curved single edged sword which is excellent for developing
strength and grace. In the afternoon study the Tai Chi Sword form
refining the subtle movements and learning the applications. Pre-order you wooden / metal Swords if you don’t have one.

Push Hands/ Partner Practice - Sunday, May 30
Push hands practice is the essence of Tai Chi. This
workshop will work on the intricacies and techniques used to develop
good push hands practice. Take advantage of this specialized partner
practice time to advance your skills, knowledge and understanding. |
2 Person Tai Chi Set - (Sunday)June 27
The
2 Person Tai Chi Set ( 174 movements) is both beneficial and practical.
As the form is internalized the player begins to dance to the flow of
chi. Each partner brings a new freshness and excitement to the set.
This set greatly enhances the 108 slow form as it roots the player into
a more sophisticated knowledge of Tai Chi.

Super Tai Chi Workout
Sigung
Peel will push you to the limit and beyond. This is where the
breakthroughs happen. We will practice as many sets as possible in the
time allotted. Each set will focus on a different aspect of the
practice - expanding our Tai Chi knowledge, awareness and experience.
Participants must know at least the first and second sections of the
Yang style to participate. Weather permitting, the seminar will be held
outdoors by Dragon Fly Pond.

This
is the time of year to work on Snake style and Chi - internal energy.
Topics covered will be Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Lung and Large intestine
meridians, diet, emotions, balance, colour, sound and more.

November 28 (Sunday)Using Chin Na in Chi Sau & Push Hands
This seminar will focus on how to apply locks and grappling techniques in Sticky and Push hands Practice.
