Board Breaking
|
After the destruction of the Shaolin Temple by Manchu troops
during the Ching Dynasty, one of the few survivors was a nun
by the name of Ng Moi. She escaped to the White Crane Temple
of Tai Leung Mountain, where she perfected her art and developed
a new style of Kung Fu.
|
|
Ng Moi, the creator of Wing Chun Kung Fu, developed a system
of fighting that could counter the powerful strikes and techniques
of the Shaolin monks. She created a style based on speed and
evasion, and borrowed "sticky hand" techniques found
in classical styles like Tai Chi. She developed the idea of
rapid fire punching to vulnerable targets rather than the
typical one big punch.
|
Blocking Practice
|
|
She taught the system to her student, a girl by the name
of Wing Chun, after whom the style is named. This style was
finally brought to the public by Grand Master Yip Man, one
of Bruce Lee's teachers.
It's an ideal style for women, developed by a woman!
The class will srengthen and empower you!
